BOTOX® FOR TREATMENT OF VERTICAL NECK BANDS
With so many treatments available for facial rejuvenation in Toronto, some patients are complaining that while facial rejuvenation is working great for them, their neck is giving away their age. The cause of this may be the loosening of the platysma muscle (band of muscles that continues from the collar bone to the jawline) causing permanent vertical neck lines with a beady appearance. This occurs because as we become older this muscle may loosen and separate into beads that are visible even at rest.
Dr Krakowsky’s extensive experience with Botox® allows him to perform more advanced and creative Botox® injections in Toronto. One such creative use of Botox® is injection of vertical neck bands to soften the appearance of vertical lines.
Botox® can also be injected in the same muscle to reduce the downward pull on the lower face producing a slight lift in the lower face.
